Dog training walks

🐕 Learning in Real Life, with Support for You Both

Dog training walks are a practical, supportive way to help your dog learn new skills — while also giving you the confidence to continue the training yourself.

During these sessions, I take your dog for a structured walk and work on specific training goals, such as loose-lead walking, focus, calm behaviour, or confidence in the environment. Towards the end of the session, I then hand the lead over to you, guiding and coaching you so you can practise the same techniques and continue the training consistently at home.

This ensures the learning transfers smoothly from me to you — strengthening your bond and helping your dog understand that the same calm, clear communication applies with their family too.

🌿 How Dog Training Walks Work

    •    I begin the walk working directly with your dog
   •    We focus on agreed training goals tailored to your dog
   •    You then join in, with gentle coaching and guidance
   •    You leave with practical skills you can confidently continue

All training is force-free, fear-free, and reward-based, ensuring your dog feels safe, supported, and motivated to learn.

🧠 What These Walks Can Help With

    •    Loose-lead walking and pulling
   •    Focus and engagement outdoors
   •    Calm behaviour around distractions
   •    Confidence building in the local environment
   •    Supporting young, adolescent, or newly rehomed dogs
   •    Reinforcing existing training in real-life situations

Training walks are especially helpful for dogs who struggle to generalise training from the home into the outside world.

💜 Support for Humans Too

These sessions are just as much for you as they are for your dog. I’ll explain why we’re doing what we’re doing, answer questions as we go, and help you feel confident handling the lead, timing rewards, and reading your dog’s body language.

My aim is always to empower you, so you don’t feel reliant on ongoing sessions — just supported while you learn.

🐶 A Thoughtful, Professional Approach

As an ABTC & APDT UK Accredited Instructor and UK Registered Veterinary Nurse, I bring both behavioural understanding and welfare-focused care to every training walk.

Sessions are tailored to your dog’s age, health, emotional state, and individual needs, and always carried out with kindness, patience, and respect.
